Density log exposure, characteristic, sensitometric, Hurter and Driffield (H&D) curves, the relationship between the exposure amount and the subsequent density on the film. It consists of an x-axis (logarithmic scale) and a y-axis (linear scale). The elements consist of: base plus fog, toe, straight line portion, shoulder, and maximum density (Dmax).
