from direct experience of losing thousands of dollars, I can tell you that the most important thing in entrepreneurial radiology is the ability to get patients in the door.
a partnership that I am/was a member in tried to go it alone with an outstanding new equipment technology. We lost all our money.
We ended up selling out for 25 cents on the dollar invested (equal to our accumulated debts) to the consortium/group of doctors who controlled most of our supply of patients.
end of story.
despite new and fancy technology, controlling the supply of patients carried all the weight in making the business go.
you've been warned
