I Have To Take Barium Sulfate Before A Cat Scan – How Does It Taste?

I need to drink a total of 600CC (about 20oz) of Barium Sulfate before a cat scan so they can see my digestive system or whatever. So, I need to know how it tastes and how long it will take to get rid of it (out of my system).

ok sorry dear but it is gross. i would suggest to stay home for the rest of the day too. you may have to run to the bathroom, sometimes it comes out several hours later, by morning you should be ok, however maybe one more day to be sure. dont let this make you not want to do it, i know it sucks but you can do it!!!!!!! health is important. good luck

I won’t lie it’s nasty uggg! it stays in your system around 12hrs to 24hrs Good Luck
