Radiology Questions

ANSWERS FOR RADIOLOGY STUDENTS

Radiology School

Read a question yesterday about EEG and MRI scan similar question.?

I had to see a neurologist a few weeks ago and had a scan on my neck looking at blood flow from heart to brain, the day after got letters for other appointments, 1 for a CT head which I had yesterday another to see a neurophysiologist and another for a EEG. I had a subdural heamatoma nearly 2 years ago and was in a coma for 11 days it was also found out I had a problem with the electrolytes so I have my blood checked every month. My doctor was concerned as it had been noticed at times my speach was slurred(no not drunk), there is a history in my family of subdural heamatomas as my grandmother died in her 40s from 1 my brother had 1 age 9 and I also lost a baby who had 1. I am worried a little more of the unknown but am lucky am being checked out so am keeping an open mind. One thing does concern me is why I am being seen in the oncology(sp) clinic, is it because of the problem with my blood. So if you give me any answers would be grateful. Thanks
Thank you and yes my doctors are very good and treat me very well.

Probably to rule out the possibility of a tumor, since they can sometimes cause bleeding and hematomas. It’s good to hear that your doctor’s being so thorough. Good luck and hope everything works out for you!

It may be that at your local hospital the CT equipment is at or controlled by the oncology department.
From what you say it does seem that there may be a genetic factor operating. what may be useful to minimise risk for you is to see a homoeopath who can gently help your system to strengthen in various ways to help your system deal with what is going on. try the United Kingdom Homoeopathic Association for your nearest practitioner. Good luck! it seems you are being well served by your doc. Homoeopathy mostly works fine alongside your treatment. In addition the anxiety you naturally may feel can be eased by this Homoeopathy, this will in itself help your problem.
